From this seating area you can peer into the theater, which with the bar, has
three tiers of seating. Kim wanted this space to flow and blend with the
finish of the rest of the house. Note the continuation of the same baseboard
and cabinet trim to accomplish this. The screen area is accented by four
pillars and our ever-popular velvet lined shadowbox. On the bar to the
right is the theater controller, on the left the clients laptop
computer that can be displayed on the screen through the designated
port above the bar.
A
view from the screen also shows the successful integration of the spaces. By
dropping the ceiling above the bar we were able to define the theater area better
while maintaining the connection to the other room. This also gave us the needed
space to build in the projector and to design a more interesting ceiling. Doesnt
the plush leather seating look so inviting?
