For the steps, we faced them with smoked glass mirror, rounded them and used concealed rope lighting to illuminate them. . We also came up with what we call our “waterfall” lighting, where each step’s relief is different letting the light level increase in intensity as you descend the stairway. Our policy is to never consult previous plans of Home Theater’s we designed. We try to come up with something new and unique for each client. The “waterfall” steps were something new for this Theater.

With the equipment cabinet to our back this view is into the Great room. To the right is the fireplace and straight ahead you can see the pool thorough the French Doors and a “tease” of that view I love so much!

The Great Room. Far right is the entrance from the Theater, between the pillars. Rather than eliminate the two pillars that could not be hidden in the wall, at Connie’s request we boxed them and did a nice trim treatment around them. We used a combination of drywall and suspended ceiling for the ceiling. The floor is tiled throughout. More indirect lighting hidden by crown molding, as in the Home Theater, to create the right mood.
