Here you see the “before” of the new HDTV area.  We designed the space between the bookshelves to be the new Home Entertainment area. This entailed removing the center section and matching up our cabinetry to the existing bookcases.

The after shows a finished space just made for Home Entertainment. Note that we closed off the gap between the ceiling and cabinets and ran some rope light accents. We also built cabinet nooks for the definitive technology speakers and showcased them with cabinet lights. Above the TV is a media storage shelf with some CD racks.

 All equipment is hidden in the lower cabinets. No need to open the doors to use the system thanks to the Control 4 RF remote and media storage system. All lighting is programmed and automatically controlled with the Control 4 system for the right mood every time. This project showcases what can be done with existing spaces and a little design sense Comments always welcome.
